In Signature Smile, we offer you both traditional braces and Invisalign  Orthodontic treatments.

Traditionally, orthodontic treatments may involve the use of metal or ceramic braces. Metal braces, while being a technologically mature and stable solution, exert more force in moving teeth into the desired positions. However, the noticeable metal pieces can affect the aesthetic appearance of the teeth during the treatment period.

Invisalign employs almost invisible aligners to adjust your teeth. Our experts will assess your dental condition and then, utilising advanced 3D imaging technology, create a personalised treatment plan that outlines the gradual transformation of your teeth. Following this, you will receive a series of transparent aligners custom-made for your teeth. These aligners are comfortable, removable, and nearly invisible, allowing for a discreet treatment process. Every few weeks, you will transition to a new set of aligners, gradually moving your teeth to their ideal positions.

Advantages of Invisalign

  • Invisalign Looks Better: The discreet aligners seamlessly blend in with your smile, allowing your treatment to go unnoticed.
  • Comfortable: The absence of metal brackets and wires ensures a hassle-free and comfortable fit, improving your treatment experience.
  • Convenient: Designed for your lifestyle, the removable aligners allow for effortless eating and thorough oral care, ensuring you don’t miss out on your favourite foods or compromise on hygiene.
  • Fewer Consultations Required: Visits are minimised since there’s no need for adjustments, only periodic progress checks.

Disadvantages of Invisalign

  • Discipline Required: Since the aligners are removable, it requires a high level of discipline to wear them for the recommended 20-22 hours a day. There is also a risk of losing your invisalign when not in use.
  • Not suitable for all cases, such as cases with severe rotation, more forces or more distances needed.
  • Cost: The cost of Invisalign can be more than braces. However, in some difficult cases, your dentist may need to finalise tooth position with braces which may result in a more expensive treatment.
