Root canal treatment is a dental procedure that entails the extraction of infected pulp tissue, thorough cleaning and disinfection of the root canal, followed by sealing the canal with a filling. This procedure dramatically alleviates pain and prevents future re-infection.

The root canal treatment generally requires three or more visits to complete:

A tooth that has undergone root treatment is naturally more fragile than an untouched healthy tooth,
so a dental crown is advised to safeguard the compromised tooth.

  • First Visit

Diagnosis and Preparation: We will conduct a comprehensive examination to determine the necessity of root canal treatment while also removing some of the infection from the top of the tooth (Open and Drain). This provides temporary relief from pain or discomfort for a brief duration.

  • Second Visit

Root Canal Cleaning and Shaping: In this step, we will clean the infected pulp tissue and shape the root canal, preparing it for the filling.

  • Third Visit

Root Canal Filling and Restoration ( 2-4 weeks post the second stage of treatment),: The final step involves filling the root canal and carrying out the necessary tooth restoration to restore its function and appearance.
