For so many years, I had issues of teeth grinding; and very limited mouth opening which made any dental procedure hard to undertake. The teeth grinding later on resulted to terrible headaches whenever I wake up.
Dr Tan provided my customised mouth guard. It resolved my problem of teeth grinding, no more head aches and my mouth opening improved a lot.
I am so grateful to Dr Tan and his team. It’s also worth mentioning that It’s so easy to coordinate dental appointments with them. All of them are amazing.

Had four wisdom teeth extracted with Dr Ivan on Saturday under local. Dr Ivan puts you at ease really quickly, no nonsense humour that makes the dentist less scary.
Heard lots of horror stories about wisdom teeth removal (your head will be tossed around! They lean on you and they’ll elbow you! Your entire face will bruise!) but it was nothing like that! Super professional, gentle and careful. Dr Ivan let me listen to my own music and ensured I had lots of pain management. Very minimal soreness after, Dr Ivan provided me a med cert and carers certs for my partner.
Used a Groupon deal to book which helped with the overall cost, in a world with no dental covered by Medicare it’s a great option! Couldn’t recommend the entire clinic more, this will definitely be our go to dentist. Dr Ivan even sat down and showed me the teeth after, comparing them to the x-ray and explaining the whole procedure. I find that clarity really comforting, sometimes with doctors it feels like it’s all like a scary mystery. Censored photos for proof!

Had my wisdom tooth surgically removed and it was an absolutely great experience. No pain during, minimal pain after and after-care advice was amazing. 24 hours later, no swelling like you see on those horror forums of wisdom tooth removal stories. I was able to be at work literally 24 hours later. I cannot recommend this dental clinic highly enough. They definitely know what they are doing and truly care about you. Dr. Ivan Tan is an amazing dentist! He has performed restorative and corrective procedures on my child's teeth, including, surgically difficult wisdom teeth extractions in a day, especially, when the wisdom teeth haven't erupted in a teen. The procedure was tedious in anticipation, but Dr. Tan explained everything throughout the procedures.
He is always happy to answer any questions and is exceptionally warm and friendly to children, which helps their confidence to sit through such procedures.
The staff at the SSDS are very friendly and they are very systematic with the after cares and follow ups.

After an oversea accident and coming back Melbourne, I have been very lucky to get treated by Dr Ivan and his team by doing two teeth implants and one root canal. Now they all have been done very well in a such sufficient time frame. Dr. Ivan skill set is excellently profession by resolving all those different scenarios of my teeth might bring up.

The best doctor in the Melbourne, Dr Ivan did a root canal for my son. It is the best experience that we have. My son was referred to see a specialist. However, I found this clinic online and we came to see Dr Ivan. He helped my son to fix his teeth and my son is happy now. I've been seeing Dr Ivan for many years now, his work and standards are of the highest quality, with excellent value as well. As someone with dental issues all my life, I've seen my fair share of dentists and none have even come close. Dr Ivan has fixed some shoddy previous work I had done, while I've had no issues with anything he has worked on so far.
The staff are also extremely flexible and accommodating, and consistently following up or doing welfare checks after procedures. You definitely feel valued as a client.
